There are a lot of reasons to change homes—maybe it’s to be closer to loved ones, a long-deserved upgrade, a new job, or a much-needed life change. Sometimes this means leaving an old life behind to start something new. Bellhops exists to support all reasons to move. That’s why we love to partner with organizations that understand the significance that moving into a new home can have.
We are proud to support Homes and Havens, an organization in our hometown, Chattanooga, TN. Homes and Havens partners with local women’s recovery agencies to help women overcoming trauma transition to a home that supports their recovery. Founded in 2016 by Kaysie Strickland, the organization has since helped 120+ women and children affected by trauma find peace through beautiful furniture and home goods using therapeutic “trauma-informed” design.
For more than a year, Homes and Havens has used Bellhops to move the furniture and home goods Kaysie and her team have designed and curated. Nearly 50 moves later, we are so proud of the lives Homes and Havens has changed.
You can use the code “homesandhavens40” for $40 off your move, and we will donate $40 to Homes & Havens!
Do you or someone you know need help? Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1−800−799−7233. Their highly-trained advocates are available 24/7/365 to talk confidentially with anyone experiencing domestic violence, seeking resources or information, or questioning unhealthy aspects of their relationship.
At Bellhops, we encounter people at many different stages in life. Jana's story touched us, and we thought it might touch you, too.
Moving often marks a milestone in one’s life. To celebrate these moments, we’ve begun our “On the Move” series, in which we’ve asked people to recount the most meaningful move of their lives.
Today we are a full-service moving operation, but back in 2011 we were just getting started as a company that moved students into their dorms. That’s when we met Kendall, our very first customer, who hired us to move her into her dorm on Auburn’s campus.
