Combining an urban feel with amazing access to the grand outdoors, downtown Colorado Springs is one of the most coveted places to live in the city. It offers plenty of indoor and outdoor activities. Located on the north end of the city, Briargate is one of the fastest-growing communities in Colorado Springs. This neighborhood sits close to the newly built Memorial Hospital North.

Located close to the Airforce Academy, Briargate is also popular among military families.

This next neighborhood sits on the southside of the city, and it’s one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in all of Colorado Springs. Residents of Broadmoor include business owners, doctors, lawyers, and the like. With its safe streets, historic mansions, great schools, and a high price tag, Broadmoor is highly coveted among Colorado Springs residents and is still growing.

The star of Broadmoor’s scene and the prettiest piece of this alluring neighborhood is its century-old resort. World-class golf courses, tennis courts, shops, cafes, restaurants, and a spa are a few of the prestigious offerings at the beautiful Broadmoor Hotel and Resort. Another popular spot in this neighborhood for both locals and visitors is the Broadmoor World Arena, which hosts sporting and entertainment events. 

Residents of Broadmoor have easy access to a number of Colorado Springs’ popular parks. Visit Bear Creek Regional Park, Cheyenne Mountain State Park, and North Cheyenne Canon Park. In addition to its gorgeous real estate, this neighborhood offers scenic hiking trails, like Helen Hunt Falls. Country living doesn’t get much better than it does in beautiful Broadmoor.

Families are drawn to Broadmoor for its high-performing school district, Cheyenne Mountain District 12. Some of the best schools in the area include Broadmoor Elementary School and The Colorado Springs School among others.

Most of Broadmoor’s houses were built in the 1920s, and there are several newly constructed modern mansions. But all the homes in this neighborhood feature manicured lawns and mature trees. 

Lots of these homes are placed on large estates with horse-speckled hills. Looking for something a little less pricey? Although much of the real estate is dominated by more luxurious homes, there are more affordable options near Broadmoor Valley Road and Broadmoor Bluffs Drive.
